AiRK OPENCALLで2月17日から4月18日まで滞在中のアーティスト、アレッサンドラ・リボーニによるWIP(ワーク・イン・プログレス／成果発表) として、ローズガーデン 201で展示を行います。イタリア出身の彫刻家、画家の彼女が、神戸でのリサーチを経てたどり着いたテキスタイルによる表現を展開します。

今回の新しいシリーズは、素材を選ぶことを、作品に魂を宿すための大切な準備と考える独自の視点から生まれました。色や形、そして布の模様を通して、そこにいる人の内側にある本当の姿を静かに描き出します。
神戸での滞在制作のなかで、アレッサンドラは日本の布文化に出会いました。染や織りを通じて「心の季節」を語り継いできたその伝統に、彼女は自らの創作との深い響き合いを感じたといいます。布はただの素材ではなく、記憶や精神性を映し出す「第二の肌」。イタリアと日本、ふたつの手仕事の美学が、この作品の中で静かに語り合う様子を会場でぜひご体感ください。

展示最終日の4月12日にはレセプションパーティを開催します。アーティストから作品の解説を聞ける絶好の機会です(通訳あり)。簡単な軽食や飲み物も用意していますが、持ち込みも大歓迎です。お気軽にお立ち寄りください。皆様とお会いできることを楽しみにしております！
We are pleased to announce an upcoming WIP exhibition (Work in Progress / Presentation of Results) by Alessandra Riboni, a current artist-in-residence at AiRK from February 17th to April 18th. The exhibition will be held in Room 201 of Rose Garden. During her residency in Kobe, Alessandra—an Italian sculptor and painter—has explored new forms of expression through textile-based works.

For me, the choice of material is a spiritual act—a way to create a vessel for the soul. Through color, shape, and textile patterns, I aim to quietly reveal the inner essence of the characters I depict.
During my time in Kobe, I felt a deep resonance with Japan’s textile traditions—where dyeing and weaving have long narrated the “seasons of the soul”. Fabric is never just a material; it is a “second skin” that reflects memory and spirituality. In these works, the craftsmanship of Italy and Japan engage in a silent, beautiful dialogue. We look forward to seeing you at the gallery!
